Man indicted for allegedly raping multiple children in TN
Investigation into Walter Lewis led police to evidence indicating he had “victimized” multiple children.
SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man has been indicted for allegedly raping multiple children in Sumner County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Walter Lucian Lewis was indicted by a Sumner County Grand Jury on several charges on Wednesday, including:
- Continuous sexual abuse of a child
- 5 counts of aggravated rape of child
- 5 counts of sexual exploitation of minor
- Especially aggravated sexual exploitation
- Aggravated sexual battery

Investigation into Lewis began in May, which led to evidence indicating he had “victimized” multiple children, SCSO said.
Lewis is being held at the Sumner County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
SCSO is asking you to contact them if you know Lewis and believe he might have victimized one of your loved ones.
“This is not just another arrest, it’s the result of a difficult investigation into the horrific abuse of multiple children,” SCSO said.
